A blunder made by Miss Panama Isamar Herrera on stage goes viral, leaving viewers horrified.

A painful video clip of a beauty contestant went viral, after a young woman made a fatal mistake on stage that led to people feeling afraid.

Isamar Herrera, representing Panama, was competing in Miss Grand International, a multi-week pageant held in Thailand, when she made a fatal mistake from which she will likely never escape.

During the pageant’s coronation night, the 31-year-old contestant stood on stage alongside 76 other contestants from around the world, as the host called out the women who had made it to the final 22.

At one point, Herrera can be seen stepping forward, with cameras focusing on her smiling and celebrating her “win.”

The young hopeful then begins to walk forward, while the crowd around him becomes painfully silent.

It soon became clear why.

In the midst of the chaos and excitement of that moment, there was a terrible misunderstanding, as the broadcaster resorted to his microphone to quickly clarify the error.

“Oh, excuse me, I’ve been announced as Miss Grand Paraguay,” he said.

“There is a lot of noise in this hall, full of fans from all over the world.”

She then has to awkwardly return to her place as the real winner, Cecilia Romero from Paraguay, proceeds to walk across the stage in celebration.

The beauty contestant’s incident has since sparked an outpouring of support on social media, with one TikTok video garnering nearly 5 million views alone.

One of them said: “Panama, Canada and Paraguay, they look the same, so don’t condemn them.”

“Maybe you didn’t really understand because of the language barrier,” said another.

Another person added: “I am from Paraguay and I felt very sorry for what happened.”

Others noted that the video was “painful to watch” before adding: “I hope you get over it.”

“You were a good nominee, flawless every time you came out, and you deserved the ranking. I’m sure better things will happen in your life,” another agreed.

“Poor girl, I wish someone had told her before she got to the front,” said another.

Fortunately, she seems to have taken the incident in her stride.

“These things happen. It was a mistake and this is a competition,” she said afterward.

“You have to know how to lose and acknowledge the victory of others.”

Emma Tiglao, 30, from Pampanga, was crowned the ultimate winner of Miss Grand International 2025.

The winners were: Thailand’s Saronrat Bajjipat, first runner-up, Spanish Aitana Jimenez, second runner-up, Ghana’s Faith Porter, third runner-up, and Nariman Pateja from Venezuela, fourth runner-up.
