A California women A small plane crashed into a Long Beach park during an emergency landing attempt Tuesday, officials said.
The Long Beach Fire Department said on Facebook that an emergency landing was attempted at the soccer field at Hartwell Park around 4 p.m.
“When units arrived, they found a small aircraft on its belly with broken landing gears. The fuselage of the aircraft was intact. When the aircraft took off, it struck a pedestrian in the park,” the department wrote.

The pilot and the woman, who is in her 40s, were taken to hospital in a moderate but stable condition.
