
A Delta flight attendant berates a Southwest Airlines gate agent during a heated exchange at an Atlanta airport
A Delta Air Lines flight attendant was caught on video berating a Southwest Airlines gate agent for being “ghetto” and unprofessional in a fiery exchange in front of a lounge full of travelers.
The uniformed flight attendant had just landed at the Atlanta airport when he began calling out the Southwest employee for what he claimed was poor customer service, according to a video posted to Instagram by @thecrewroom_.
“This is ridiculous. This is the worst airport, and you all make Southwest look terrible,” a Delta flight attendant told the rival airline’s agent as he walked beside her through the terminal. “That customer service is ridiculous.”
As the Southwest employee walked toward the gate, a visibly upset flight attendant followed her, grabbing his bag and sneering before criticizing her behavior as “ghetto.”
“This is because it’s Atlanta, and you have no respect for customer service. Y’all need to clean it, clean it because I’m just trying to get a flight,” he continued, adding, “I don’t have to fly Southwest, I can take Delta.”
In an attempt not to escalate things further, the Southwest Gate agent can be seen raising her hand and is heard telling the irate flight attendant to lower his “tone,” which appears to anger him even more.
“Get your hands off my face,” he demands. “You’re something. You’re nothing. Where’s your name tag? Ghetto.”
The angry flight attendant shouted that coworkers told him “not to come here” and “not to move here” because the staff were “ridiculous and ghetto.”

“Atlanta needs to clean up itself – this is supposed to be the Black Mecca, and y’all can’t even bring yourselves class,” he shouts.
She then asked him to take Delta home if he was unhappy, prompting him to start bragging, “I don’t have to take Southwest, I can take Delta.”
The Southwest worker eventually walks away, while the flight attendant continues to yell at the traveler, recording the heated argument before the video ends.
It’s unclear what prompted workers at rival airlines to start talking to each other.
The viral video, posted on Friday, had people tearing up in the comments over who they should side with.
“ATL is so bad at customer service, he’s not lying,” one user claimed, standing next to a Delta flight attendant.
“I understand where he’s coming from, which is why I love self-service kiosks. Anything to avoid human contact,” another wrote.

Another added: “Not just Atlanta, the entire state of Georgia has very poor customer service.”
But others criticized the Delta employee for his lack of professionalism and walking out while the company’s uniform was being renewed.
“Sir, you were doing a lot in uniform,” one user commented.
“There is a time, a place and a way to handle issues with respect and professionalism. He did neither. He allowed his ego to get the better of his uniform. He should be required to make a public apology if he wants to keep his job. He misrepresented the Delta brand,” another user added.
“Baby! I know Delta clipped those wings!” commented another.
