Allison Janney won’t reveal which former co-star she turned down to work with again

Allison Janney She kept her lips sealed when talking about her former co-stars.
“Watch What Happens Live!” During a recent appearance on the show, the 65-year-old actress answered some tricky questions while playing “Agree or Disagree” with her co-star and fellow guest Keri Russell.
As part of the game, host Andy Cohen asks a question and based on their answers, the guests will hold up signs that agree or disagree. When Cohen asked if a former co-star, the two “refused to work again,” both agreed. He then said that he would get “extra points” if he named a celebrity.
“Well, mine’s not with us anymore, so I can’t really — I can’t work with them again even if I wanted to,” Janney said, prompting Russell and Cohen to reveal who the actor was. “No, I’m not saying that. Being in this little club won’t give me a false sense of security.”

Russell later reminded her of her mother’s rule when it came to “talk(ing) about people,” after which Jenny shared, “My mom would say ‘in the car, up the windows, out the driveway’.”

“Our relationship is one of the best relationships I’ve ever had to play with,” Jenny said NPR in October. “And they’ve had to fight harder to get to where they are. So, the decisions they make, especially Grace, are judged very harshly.”
This season introduced actor Bradley Whitford as Jenny’s character’s husband. Fans were excited to see the actor on the show as he and Jenny worked alongside each other on the hit show “The West Wing”.

While talking with People magazineJenny said “it was very easy and comfortable” to work with Whitford again because of their history together.
“I think it would have been harder with someone I didn’t know. It was surprisingly really easy and really fun,” she explained. “I’m so excited for everyone on ‘The Diplomat’ to meet Brad and experience all that Brad is, which is amazing and fun and fair — it’s a dream.”
While on “The West Wing,” Janney won four Emmy Awards for her portrayal of White House Press Secretary CJ Craig. She captured four more for her roles in “Masters of Sex” and Sitcom “Mom.”
She later won her first and only Academy Award in 2018 for her supporting role in “I, Tonya,” which told the true story behind the infamous incident involving Tonya Harding and Nancy Kerrigan. The film focused largely on Harding, her backstory, and her involvement in the attack on Kerrigan, with Jenny playing her mother Lavona.
