Barry Weiss looks to poach pro-Trump CNN critic Scott Jennings to CBS News: Report

CBS News editor-in-chief Barry Weiss is reportedly eager to poach conservative commentator Scott Jennings from CNN.
The two met at Tiffany’s headquarters in New York last week. According to the Semafor news website.
The offer from the new CBS News president to Jennings comes during a period of flurry at the network.

Jennings, a former staffer in the George W. Bush administration and a former aide to Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), has gained cult status among conservatives for his feisty pro-Trump defense on CNN, which employs him as a contributor.
Since Jennings is not a full-time employee of the network, he is free to meet with anyone, according to a source familiar with the situation.
A CNN spokesperson declined to comment. The Post requested comment from Jennings, CBS News and Vice.
Legacy media outlets have shown more interest in Jennings as his online popularity grows.
