Washington – The United States and China have finalized an agreement to transfer the American version of… Tik Tok to the new owners, Treasurer Scott Bessent revealed on Sunday.
President Trump and Chinese leader Xi Jinping will formally “conclude” this agreement when… They will meet in Busan, South Korea, on Thursday – It’s the first time the two have seen each other in person since 2019.
“We have reached a final agreement on TikTok,” Besant told CBS News’ “Face the Nation” on Sunday. “We reached an agreement in Madrid, and I think as of today, all the details have been settled, and the two leaders will have to complete that deal on Thursday in Korea.
Trump signed an executive order last month to pave the way for a TikTok transfer deal, but the two sides still have some details to figure out at that time.
Besant declined to provide additional details about the final deal, noting that he was not “part of the commercial side of the deal.”
