Best Monday Night Football bets, choose
The Washington Chiefs and Kansas City Chiefs will close out Week 8 of NFL season on Monday Night Football at Arrowhead Stadium.
The Chiefs have recently had back-to-back huge wins, and the Chiefs are struggling after back-to-back losses and losing their best players.
These factors combined push that lead to -10.5 for the Chiefs heading into Monday’s primetime game.
Leaders vs Chiefs Odds, Prediction
An injury to Chiefs midfielder Jayden Daniels may have dampened the excitement in one aspect of this matchup, but there is plenty to be excited about for the Chiefs.
After a slow start through three games, Patrick Mahomes and the offense are back on form. The two-time MVP has 11 passing touchdowns and two rushing touchdowns over the past four games, and their three wins in that span have been by 17 points against the Ravens, 13 points against the Lions, and 31 points against the Raiders.
Mahomes has all of his receivers intact and available now that Rashee Rice is back on the field. Xavier Worthy, always a threat to make a huge play, appears to be healthy as well and has been a full participant in practices while being treated for an ankle and shoulder injury.
The Chiefs will not have linebacker Josh Simmons, who He stays away from the team due to a family matter It is doubtful that Trey Smith will suffer from back spasms, but this team has succeeded in overcoming all challenges so far this season. I expect the Chiefs to continue to move and take advantage of the Commanders’ defense through the air.

Betting on the NFL?
Entering the week, Washington’s pass defense ranked at or near last in a number of categories. They allow the most passing yards gained per completion in the NFL (13.0) and the eighth-most passing yards gained per game (238.3).
Their defense couldn’t stop the run either. The Leaders rank 20th in rushing yards allowed per game (126.0) and the defense has given up more than 400 yards three times in seven games this season. They will catch the leaders in their tracks and it could end up being a long night defending Washington.
The Chiefs are outscoring teams by an average of 14.5 points at home — an uptick after the Raiders’ blowout — but I have no interest in betting on them to cover a double-digit spread. I think we’ll see another big game from Mahomes.
He has averaged 282.8 yards per game over his past four games, but his backup is listed as low as 271.5. He topped that mark twice in that four-game span and came within just two yards of that mark against the Ravens.
I expect him to cut through the leaders on Monday night and hit this prop.
choice: Patrick Mahomes over 271.5 yards (-115, ESPN betting)
