A man arrested in North Carolina after he allegedly killed a 51-year-old man has been arrested more than 40 times before, records show.

Ronnie Fewell, 32, allegedly shot and killed Ronald Neville on October 10 at a Motel 6 in Charlotte, North Carolina, according to an arrest affidavit.

Neville was found with multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Video obtained by police showed Fewell was one of three men who broke into the hotel room, where they remained inside for only several seconds, police said.

Investigators said one of the men “quickly” fled the hotel room with a backpack he did not previously have.

Fewell has been charged with felony murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon and felony conspiracy in connection with the shooting.

Officials said he was one of four people allegedly responsible for Neville’s death.

The backpack contained items valued at $100, according to the arrest warrant.

Fewell was granted no bail and was ordered held at the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office.

Court and arrest records reviewed by Fox News Digital show Fewell has been arrested at least 40 times dating back to 2012.

Fewell has previously been arrested for resisting a public servant, breaking and entering, possession of stolen goods, assault on a female, possession of cocaine, sale of cocaine, possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of a stolen firearm, burglary, assault on a female, assault with a deadly weapon and more.

Several charges were dismissed by the local state’s attorney and did not result in any prison time, according to court records, but he served time in prison for several convictions.

Representative Mark Harris, Republican of North Carolina, Written on X He was “disgusted” by the number of times Fewell was arrested.

“Another serial criminal who was at large has just been arrested in Charlotte, North Carolina for the murder of a 51-year-old man,” Harris wrote.
