About 1115 units Coca-Cola Zero 12oz Sugar cans in 12 and 35 packs, 2,322 units of Coca-Cola 12 oz cans in 24 and 35 packs, 791 Units of Sprite 12-ounce cans of 12 and 35-packs are included in the recall, according to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Products are considered Class II products when use of or exposure to the product “may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences or when the likelihood of serious adverse health consequences is remote,” according to the FDA website.

Texas-based Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages LLC began the recall on Oct. 3, and the FDA issued the Class II designation a few weeks later.

FOX Business has reached out to Coca-Cola for comment.

A company spokesperson said today that the recalled products were distributed in the McAllen/Rio Grande Valley and San Antonio areas of Texas.

The spokesman said this was as far as the recall extended.

The spokesperson added that all affected products had been withdrawn from store shelves out of an abundance of caution by October 10.
