A man from Massachusetts A supporter of President Donald Trump has been charged with assault at a political protest over the weekend.
This incident happened on Saturday “No Kings” rally Just outside of Boston, on Kings Beach in the North Shore town of Swampscott.
The moment Michael Curl, 36, ran up to the man in the costume, identified as Jonathan Silvera, kicked him from behind and tackled him, captured on cellphone video.
Silveira’s girlfriend, Angela Mazariegos, was behind the camera during the alleged assault.

According to a police report obtained by Boston 25, Swampscott police said Curl “hooked Silvera’s legs” and wrapped his arms around his neck, knocking him to the pavement.

Swampscott Police Department Sgt. Brendan Rein confirmed to Fox News Digital that Curl pleaded not guilty Monday to assault and battery with a deadly weapon and was released on personal recognizance.
A pre-trial hearing will be held in December.
