Crawford beating canelo ‘polished’ worse than mayweather

Terence Crawford Assistant Coach Bernie Davis claims Crawford has beaten the “Polished version” From Canelo Alvarez is “worse” than Floyd Mayweather jr many years ago.

The Canelo, 35, did not look very “good” in the eyes of this expert. It looked old, weather-beating, and tired. This is not the Canelo who fought Golovkin’s mission to stop in their first two fights in 2017 and 2018.

The way Mayweather Canelo defeated was very different from the way Crawford did. Floyd stood in his pocket and out of his box and punched him out of the world.

In contrast, Crawford was on his bike, moving constantly, and rarely stood still. There is no comparison between them. Mayweather looked masterfully in the video below of his victory over Canelo on September 14, 2013.

Davis says that Crawford (42-0, 31 Kos) treated the undisputed higher middle weight champion at the time Canelo (63-3-2, 39 ko), and “amazed, rocked” in their battle on September 13, 2025.

Crawford gained a close decision of 12 rounds with the scores 115-113, 115-113, and 116-112. It was close because Canelo landed most of the hard punches in rounds 1 to 8.

Crawford came to life in Round 9 with a short Salvo of punch. In rounds 10, 11, and 12, Terence’s crime was intermittent in the same way as it was earlier.

That was not a blow to Crawford from Canelo. He spent too much time moving, trying not to be hit by Canelo, because he was a beat caused.

“Canelo took no beats. “The men who beaten were unbeaten. He pushed him around. He stunned, and rocked,” said Bernie, going a little over the top with his praise from Crawford.
