Fabio Wardley warns Parker: “Control my Fire Strength” Saturday

Fabio Wardley says he expects Joseph Parker to be careful and less willing to engage against him on Saturday evening in their main attention in London. He says that if the WBO Parker Interim Heavyweight Champion (36-3, 24 KOS) has less crime activity, he will have to “control” the fire power he will unload on.

Golden rush to usyk throne

Interim Wba Wardley Champion (19-0-1, 18 ko) is not going to hold back, fighting scared on Saturday night at O2 Arena in London. He wants the pot of gold waiting for him against the undisputed champion Oleksandr Usyk in 2026. Fabio knows that the best way to get that against a boxer-a-fierce like Parker is to take the battle for him.

Wardley, 30, believes Parker’s instinct will cause him to participate in short shooting moments with him. He is not going to hold back and let Fabio be pelled with power shots the way Frazer Clarke replaced them on October 12, 2024. If he does, Wardley will take him out quickly, maybe in the first two rounds.

It smells fear in parker

“I think it will be tactical in the spaces. It will be vigilant. He will try to avoid shooting moments out, but I think nature is intuition in him who will want to take part,” Fabio Wardley told Boxing nowAbout Joseph Parker. “I’m going to get in with my game and style plan and fight the way I want to fight. It is a matter for him to control.”

Parker’s final match against Martin Bakole, who has gone out of his shape, did not show how he is expected to fight on Saturday. Bakole beat out in the first round, taking advantage of his slow, thoughtful movements to be flattened on February 22, 2025, in Riyadh.

Andy Lee’s defensive blueprint

Parker will surely return to the defensive style he showed in his victories over the elderly veterans Dontay Wilder and Zhilei Zhang. That’s a game plan designed by Parker’s coach Andy Lee, and worked well against those two slower heavy weights.

“If he is the fighter with less activity, that generally makes a little less, it is up to him to control my output. I can carry the power all the way through. Box well, box comfortably, and cast it out. Any kind of victory is enough of a statement,” said Wardley.
