Fight Moses Itauma or give up the belts

Champion Frank Warren says Oleksandr Usyk will have to combat competitor No. 1 WBA and #1 WBO Moses Itauma or leave the belts. He was asked for his response to the undisputed heavyweight champion usyk (24-0, 15 kos) saying he would not fight Itauma (13-0, 11 ko).

Sanctioned bodies shut in

Warren states that if the WBA or WBO commands the battle, USYK will have to choose between defense against Itauma or surrender one of the titles.

Itauma fast track progress

It does not look like Itauma, 20, will soon lose to anyone, especially with the careful way it is paired. Is not thrown in with any of the killers, such as Frank Sanchezwhere he could come into contact. So, it’s only a matter of time before usyk, 38, was forced to defend against ituma or leave.

“Well, Moses is number 1 in two of the governing bodies. And if they call for that, he’ll have to think about that one,” Champion Frank Warren told BoxingIn response to the undisputed heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk says he will not fight against Moses Itauma.

He’s going to make usyk look weak if he leaves one of his titles to avoid the 20 year old Itauma. He will need to think about that before making the choice. For Warren, he would look better if he had first proved Itauma against Frank Sanchez before moving him to a title battle against usyk.

Testing the theory of “Hype Job”.

Given the weak resume of Moses Itauma, in the amateurs and the benefits, it looks like a classic example of an artificially moved fighter. He has not had any real tests to justify his move to #1. Fighters like Sanchez, Richard Torrez Jr., and Filip Hrgovic would be the ideal opponents for Itauma to show that it is not a fake hype job.

Leave or verify

“If they call for one of those fights, Moses still wins, and stays where he is, then he will (usyk) must fight with him or he will have to leave the belt,”Warren said of a USYM put in a position where he will have no choice but to defend against Itauma or surrender his WBA or WBO titles.

“Everything he has been asked, he has done. Oleksandr is a great fighter, and he has four belts. He will do what he feels he wants to do, right? Good luck to him,” said Warren.

USYK FILLING OPTIONS

If usyk is serious about staying in the game for another three years until he is 41, he will have no choice but to fight against Moses Itauma. It runs out quickly from marketable options for fighting that will continue to bring the money it has been making recently. Here’s what’s left usyk made mega-millions:

  • Tyson Fury – a trilogy
  • Moses will hurt
  • Fabio Wardley
  • Joseph Parker
  • Anthony Joshua – a trilogy
  • Jai opetaia
  • David Benavidez
