Former Packers star Aaron Rodgers says his career will end where it began

Aaron Rodgers, four times NFL MVPis in the middle of his 21st season.
While he was productive in his first year Pittsburgh SteelersThe 41-year-old is undoubtedly very close to the early sunset of his storied career. When he decides to put his playing days behind him, Rodgers plans to return to the Packers for a formal reunion.
The Packers drafted Rodgers in 2005 and he spent 18 seasons with the franchise, winning a Super Bowl title along the way.

Rodgers reflected fondly on his time in Green Bay as his former team prepares to visit Pittsburgh on Sunday.
“I was there 18 years,” Rogers said. “Even when I stop it, it’s a big part of my career. I’ll retire the Packers and see what happens after that. I have a lot of love for the organization (and) my time there.
“They asked this week if it was a revenge game or whatever. What did I get here for revenge? They made me a lot of money. I grew up there, spent some of the best years of my life there. I’ve got nothing but love for the organization.”
The Packers have a history of welcoming back franchise greats who left later in their careers and played for other teams. Brett Favre spent 16 years of his illustrious career in Green Bay before later joining the New York Jets and Minnesota Vikings.
Favre returned to Green Bay and had his No. 4 jersey retired when he was inducted into the Packers Hall of Fame in 2015.

During a video conference call Thursday, Rodgers told reporters that his “football career starts and one day will end with Green Bay. I’ve got a lot of love for those memories and a lot of great friends that I still carry with me today.”

Rogers will get a chance to reunite Packers On Sunday night, he admitted he would have preferred to play the game at Lambeau Field.
“It would mean a lot more to be in Lambeau, just because of that place and that hallowed grounds of Lambeau Field and all the wonderful memories I have over the years.”

In his first six games with the Steelers, Rodgers has thrown for 1,270 yards and 14 touchdowns.
