Harvard University’s resident dean made inflammatory social media posts for years before his appointment, attacking police, white people and conservatives, and defending threats against the president. Donald TrumpAccording to a new report.

Davis, who was previously a resident faculty member and became dean in 2024, according to his LinkedIn profile, posted on X in 2019, “It’s almost like whiteness is a self-destructive ideology that destroys everyone around it. By design.”

In his role as Dunster House Allston Burr resident dean, Davis serves as the primary contact for students seeking academic and wellness support.

In 2020, Davis wrote on X, formerly Twitter, “You should tell your police friends to resign because they are racist and evil,” according to a screenshot from Celent.

Another post from 2020 read, “Something to remember: Riots and looting are as much a part of democracy as voting and marches. People will be heard.”

On his official Harvard bio page, Davis describes himself as “Black, queer, neurodivergent (ADHD), first-generation, public school graduate from Detroit.”

He received a master’s degree in psychology from Harvard in 2016 and a doctorate in philosophy and African-American/Black studies in 2020.

Davis begins his new role as resident dean in July 2024.

In an email shared with Fox News Digital and Shirley and Taeku Lee, A Married couple Who is the Dunster House Faculty Dean The Dean wrote, “We are writing to share with you a letter from our Resident Dean Gregory Davis regarding recent campus media reports. As you know, Dean Davis is on vacation for the semester and therefore, we are sharing this message with you on his behalf.”

He added that he wanted to “affirm that Dunster House is a community that welcomes all members. That remains our commitment to our students. If you have any questions or comments about Gregory’s letter, please do not hesitate to reach out to both of us, our Interim Resident Dean Emily Reimer.”

In a second email shared by Harvard with Fox News Digital, Davis wrote, “Recently, some media organizations have inquired about comments I made on my personal social media accounts prior to my tenure as resident dean. These posts do not reflect my current thoughts or beliefs. I deeply appreciate the responsibility inherent in the role of resident dean and believe that my personal statements may negatively impact me. Dunster community.”

Davis continued, “Since becoming Allston Burr Resident Dean, I have worked hard to ensure that Dunster House is a welcoming, warm, and supportive place for all of its members. That continues to be the guiding force in my work today. As events outside of Harvard have affected our House and me personally, my commitment to each of you, our students, and my members has never been more enjoyable. HUPD and other campus colleagues. I respect the work they do to support our community.”
