She told me that her best friend (25 years old), who also goes to the same college, bailed on him the minute he found out, but she doesn’t mind, and it’s okay for her to be a single mom. In fact, she looked very happy. I tried to convince her to reconcile with her boyfriend, and told her about the difficulties she faced being a single mother, and how she would lose this vital time to study and work.
But she was stubborn because that’s what she wanted, that she was an adult and I should let her make her own life choices. She had to take a break from college for obvious reasons and asked me if she could move back in (she was staying in a hostel on campus) until she figured out her next move. I said ok.
