Jeffery takes issue with CBS over ‘rigged election’ claims about Trump

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, DN.Y. briefly argued with CBS’s Margaret Brennan on Sunday that President Donald Trump would be a “danger.” Mid-Term Elections.
During an interview on “Face the Nation,” Brennan told the New York correspondent about his earlier comments that “Not rejecting the electionThe Democratic Party has recently suggested that the upcoming midterm elections could be “rush elections”.
“Democrats were horrified when President Trump used language like that,” Brennan said. “How do you justify using that now? Doesn’t this undermine the confidence of the electorate?”

“No, I’m using that word in reference to Donald Trump’s unprecedented attempt to rig the midterm elections and to draw congressional maps in a partisan manner across the country to deny the American people the ability to decide who should be in the majority as it relates to the House of Representatives,” Jefferies said.
“You know the Democrats are also going through gerrymandering and redistricting,” Brennan interrupted.
The liberal float will tamper with Trump, cancel the midterm elections
“No. No. No. Well, Democrats are going to aggressively push back to make sure we have fair maps across the country, not partisan gerrymandering, which Republicans have introduced in state after state,” Jeffries insisted.
The interview ended shortly after that exchange.

Jeffries has previously been pressed about his support For redistribution in blue statesIncluding his own, attacking red state redistricting during an August interview with CNN’s Dana Bash.

“You commend the New York State Legislature for redrawing it,” Bash said. “Is it hypocritical to criticize Texas for what you pushed into your own state?”
Bash also pointed out that Jefferies was against redrawing New York’s congressional maps in 2022.

“Importantly, in New York, the redrawn map that was actually adopted by the legislature was adopted on a bipartisan basis,” Jeffries said. “Democrats and Republicans in the Legislature voted for the map because the redraw was right. That’s not happening in Texas. In Texas, this is a racially biased gerrymander ordered by Donald Trump as part of an effort to rig the midterm elections. And we won’t let that happen.”
