Jenna Ortega wears a purple dress at the InStyle Imagemaker Awards

Jenna Ortega Her latest red carpet look turned heads at the InStyle Imagemaker Awards.

The 23-year-old “Wednesday” star posed for photos at the event in a purple dress that featured a plunging neckline and lace detailing on the bodice. The skirt had thigh-high slits and her naked underwear could be seen through a slightly darker shade of purple.

She accessorized the look with an oversized fuzzy burgundy jacket, silver high heels, a drop necklace and a ring on her right hand. She kept her hair and makeup simple, opting for a dark lip with her signature bleached brows and wearing her hair down the middle.

Ortega attended the award show to honor her stylist Enrique Melendez, who received the Future of Fashion Award. In her speech, she credited Melendez with being “one of the first people I felt like seeing or hearing.”

“Growing up in an industry like this, you learn to be a puppet and stand there and do what you’re told,” Ortega said in her speech, per InStyle. “He always took everything I said seriously and with respect and care.”

“Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” The star previously spoke about her career as a child actress, telling The New York Times in August 2024 that “child acting is weird,” and that she could understand why her “parents were so hesitant about it.”

She explained that she believed she would have been a different person if she had never started acting, adding, “Kids aren’t supposed to do this. They’re supposed to climb trees and draw and go to school.

“When I first started auditioning, we would spend hours in this casting office, and we met so many strange and passionate personalities. They could be stage parents, they could be producers who made me afraid of other people for a while, and I think that’s when I started to become more introverted,” “Scream” star said

“It was great to be able to get back in the car at the end of the day and do my homework, because I was still going to public school, and listen to my mom and visit my siblings at home.”

Ortega got his big break on the Disney Channel show “Stuck in the Middle,” playing the inventive middle child in a large family, but rose to international fame playing Wednesday Adams on the Netflix series, “Wednesday.”

The role increased her star power and earned her nominations at the Emmy, SAG, Golden Globe and Critics’ Choice Awards.

While not nominated in 2025 Emmy AwardOrtega appeared as a presenter alongside “Wednesday” co-star Catherine Zeta-Jones in another jaw-dropping outfit. She wore a daring outfit adorned with gems and pearls strategically placed on her torso, which she paired with a black skirt with a thigh-high slit.

She posted photos from the award show on her Instagram and fans showered her with compliments in the comments section.
