John Stamos defends Lori Loughlin amid split from Mossimo Giannuli

John Stamos defended him “full house” Co-star Lori Loughlin on “putting through a lot over the years” during her relationship with estranged husband Mossimo Giannulli.

Loughlin and Giannulli are now “living separately” after 27 years of marriage, reps confirmed to Fox News Digital. “No legal action is pending.”

During Monday’s episode of “good people” podcast, Stamos claimed the fashion designer was responsible for Loughlin being caught in the 2019 college admissions scandal.

The couple got separated after five years of engagement Operation University Blues ScamPleaded guilty to wire and mail fraud related to paying hundreds of thousands in bribes to get their daughters admitted to the University of Southern California.

“I’ve known her for 40 years,” Stamos said. “You can see through the years people. This lady is a saint. I’m so sad for her right now.”

“I’m not going to argue that she had a lot to do with it. I know she didn’t,” he said before claiming Giannulli “dragged her through it.”

“She’s not fake. She’s a saint,” Stamos said, adding that he called Loughlin to check on him when news of the scandal broke. She allegedly told him that “Mossimo handles all this stuff.”

Laughlin spent nearly three months in jail and Giannuli spent five months in jail. They were released in December 2020 and April 2021.

“She goes to jail for three months for this a-hole, right? And he goes for anything,” Stamos said. “And in typical Lori fashion, I said, ‘How was it?’ She goes, ‘You know, I met a lot of nice women there. We have a book club.

He added, “She didn’t deserve to be dragged into this … I know it was all him.”

Stamos admitted that Laughlin was “just devastated” to break up with her Husband of 27 years.

“You know, a girl who has lived her life really well, is a good person, a good mother, a good wife,” he said. “I know it all, really. Now to be thrown into this separation and explode, blow up her family like that. And I hate to see her go through that.”

When asked about the cheating allegations, Stamos was “taking a fifth part,” but noted, “Whatever he did to her, it got to her core.”

Laughlin recently shed light on the scandal when she played a version of herself in an episode of “Curb Your Enthusiasm.” In the episode, main character Larry David helps the actress get into a country club when she gets caught up in her legal drama.

Her character also has a fake disabled license plate and cheats at golf.

In an interview with First for women last yearLoughlin spoke about perseverance.

“Every day, we face different obstacles. But, for me, this song is like, ‘I fall down, but I get back up,'” she said. “No one said life was going to be a breeze; we all make mistakes, but the important thing is to persevere.”
