Jordan Love, Tucker Craft lead Packers to victory over Steelers

Tucker Kraft was eating well Sunday night because he and Love Jordan The Green Bay Packers beat the upset Pittsburgh Steelers 35-25.

Love and craft coincided early and often. The first connection came in the first quarter when Love found a tight end for a 16-yard touchdown pass to cap off a six-play, 67-yard drive.

Chris Boswell’s impressive field goal kick and Aaron Rodgers’ touchdown pass to DK Metcalf kept the Steelers happy. Pittsburgh led 16-7 at halftime. The love came back and didn’t miss a beat.

Love threw the second touchdown pass to Craft and the third to guide Sevian Williams Packers Back to the front. Josh Jacobs scored on a three-yard run in the fourth quarter. Once the Packers take the lead, the defense never lets up.

Rodgers came into the game with his first career no-show against a team that selected him in the first round of the 2005 NFL Draft. He looked back fondly on his time with the Packers throughout the week.

He must have wished things were a little different.

There were times when Rodgers showed just how great he is at 41 years old. He made huge throws to Metcalf and Roman Wilson on points on the night and was able to bait the Packers’ secondary into a pass interference call during a crucial touchdown drive.

But there were also times when he was visibly frustrated with teammates. Linebackers Micah Parsons and Rashaan Gary pressured him all night, and the offense didn’t get it right most of the time. He was trying to become the fifth quarterback in NFL history to beat all 32 teams in a career.

Some stress Steelers players was boiled in the fields. During the Steelers’ kickoff, Pittsburgh’s Ben Skowronek was double-teamed by two Packers players. Nick Herbig came to Skowronek’s defense and pushed Bo Melton to the ground. This led to a brief skirmish in which two officers were trapped.

Later, Metcalf got into an altercation with Packers linebacker Quay Walker. The wide receiver put his fingers in Walker’s facemask. He was called for unnecessary roughness and stalled the Steelers’ offense.

Green Bay would win at home and improve to 5-1-1. The Steelers fell to 4-3, which will tighten the race for the AFC North as the midway point of the season approaches.

Love finished 29-of-37 with 360 passing yards and three touchdown passes. Craft had seven catches for 143 yards and two runs.

Rodgers was 24-of-36 with two touchdown passes and 219 passing yards. Wilson and Metcalf each had a touchdown.
