Former White House press secretary Karin Jean-Pierre writes in her new book that she doesn’t think the former vice president Kamala Harris will win the election.

“When I woke up, it was over. Harris had lost. I got calls from friends who were upset or numb with disbelief. But I wasn’t surprised by the outcome. The truth is, I never believed that Harris could win. I would be in a black woman’s body for the rest of my life. I stood at the podium in the White House’s Last Room. And with glazed eyes and racist assumptions. “All my experiences left me unable to see this country elect a president who looked like me,” she wrote in her book “Independent”.

Jean-Pierre’s new book details her decision to leave the Democratic Party, which she believes was betrayed by the former president. Joe Biden.

The former press secretary said her own experiences in the role left her pessimistic about Harris, writing that she faced abuse, sexism and double standards.

Jean-Pierre called out the Democratic Party throughout her book, particularly expressing dismay at what she said Party Betrayal By former President Biden.

She blamed the party for Harris’ defeat.

The party had to redefine its mission and publicly gave up a path forward or a path to success. Wind,” she wrote.
