Comedian Michael Rappaport rips the New York City Democratic mayoral candidate Johran Mamdani For eating at an expensive sushi restaurant, claiming his “working class” persona is fake.
“How is a so-called ‘working class’ mayoral candidate like Johran Mamdani eating tonight at Omen Sushi — one of the most expensive joints in NYC,” Rappaport asked in a Tuesday X post.
“This clown lives in A Stable apartments for rent in Queens But the Qatar-funded daily dines like a diplomat. Who’s paying for that toro, ‘Zoron the moron,” Rappaport continued. “You’re not the working class — you’re the cheating class. #ZohranMamdani #ZoronTheMoron.”

Mamdani, a 34-year-old state assemblyman from Queens, born in Uganda, has called for millions in rent freezes, free public transportation, government-owned grocery stores and Free universal childcare For children ages 6 weeks to 5 years.
Another X post from “Stop anti-Semitism” which Rappaport reposted, reading, “Fun fact: 12 pieces of sushi at Omen are $50… Mamdani is a typical ‘money is for me, not you’ parasitic socialist.”

On Wednesday, Rapaport responded to a post by an X user who took issue with Rapaport’s criticism of Mamdani and shared what he thought was part of Omen Sushi’s menu selection, writing, “It offends you — but a NYC mayoral candidates It doesn’t insult you to declare that genocide is going on with 0.0 evidence, refuse to condemn ‘globalize the intifada’ and make dozens of false promises?!”
