New Jersey school board cancels November meeting because group texting won’t go away

New Jersey school board whose vice president is involved The vile mass texting scandal which allegedly targeted a MAGA-loving member has postponed its next meeting due to “safety” concerns.
Marlboro Board of Education President Brian Cohen moved to postpone the group’s next scheduled meeting, which had been scheduled for Nov. 11, citing unspecified “safety and security” issues.
Other school board members objected to the postponement, The Post has learned.
Meanwhile, parents are planning a peaceful protest, organizing on social media.
The decision comes a little less than a week later The last meeting of the council – A tumultuous six-hour affair as parent after parent called for two members, including Vice President Chad Hyett, to resign over their alleged involvement in a hateful group chat about fellow board member Danielle Bellomo.
Chat, named “This bitch needs to die.” It included a misogynistic text message about Bellomo from board candidate Scott Samaya, who quickly dropped out of the race when the message became public.
“Bellomo must be cold, her boobs could totally cut through glass,” reads one text, which was allegedly captured on a screenshot of Samaya typing the letter “o.”
Mitesh Gandhi, husband of MLA Aditi Gandhi, also allegedly participated in the chat.
The crude messages received nationwide attention after they were exposed by The Washington Post, and even sparked the ire of Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas), who called them “wrong” and “evil” in a tweet. Share on X.
One parent suggested on Facebook that the decision to cancel the meeting was made because “the board president, vice president and district superintendent are ashamed of something” or “are afraid of legitimate community concerns.”
“It’s getting worse,” another parent said.
Marlboro police said Friday they were still investigating the alleged threats against Bellomo.
