A lost dog named Moose has returned home safely after a dramatic rescue New York Police Department Officers under a subway train in Manhattan.

The small black dog got away from its owners and hid under the northbound 2 train at the 14th Street station on Thursday. The animal was struck by the train before taking refuge under a car, an NYPD spokesman said People magazine.

“When the moose dog got loose and hid under the 2 trains, our (NYPD Special Ops Emergency Services Unit) officers came to the rescue,” the NYPD posted to X.
