Orthodox Jewish leaders in Ocean County rallied to support Ciatarelli

In the first for New Jersey Politics Orthodox Jewish leaders in Ocean County have rallied behind Republican gubernatorial candidate Jack Ciatarelli, forming the state’s most influential faith-based voting coalition, according to a report.
The Lakewood Scoop The endorsement — announced jointly by councils representing Lakewood, Jackson, Toms River, Howell and Manchester — represents an unprecedented display of unity in a community that has become a decisive force in New Jersey politics.
Lakewood’s long-standing Community Council – worked closely with counterparts in nearby towns to align the dispute This year’s recognition.
Leaders told The Lakewood Scoop that the effort reflects a conscious move toward broader cooperation across municipalities, stressing that this election season is about unity, voting and shared priorities.

“Although the process took a little longer than usual, this time it was for meaningful reasons – for the first time, we worked to ensure that all cities were together and on the same page,” organizers told the outlet. “The focus is on unity and collaboration – so that each community’s voice is represented in a strong collective statement.”
“Every vote in every village is important in this election,” he added. “Each region has its own local race and preferences, but together we share a huge responsibility – to vote every possible. This election will be decided by the vote. Let’s make sure our communities are heard loud and clear at the ballot box.”
The Lakewood Scoop also received letters from local communities highlighting solidarity, including one sent to Howell residents urging every eligible voter to participate in the election.

“Our voice is only as strong as the number of people who actually vote,” the letter reads. “We strongly recommend voting for the following individuals who have shown care and friendship for our community: Jack Citarelli for Governor, along with our friends in neighboring towns.”
The list of additional candidates is also given in this letter State and local offices.
The Lakewood debate issued an urgent call for unity and voting among the Orthodox Jewish community and emphasized that every vote counts as New Jersey enters a crucial election season. The letter highlights the Vad’s long-standing practice of consulting with rabbinic leadership and community representatives to reach collective, values-based political decisions.

The leaders described voting as a civic duty and an expression of gratitude to the officials who supported them. Local priorities — especially education fundingFreedom of Transportation and Religion.
After thanking the President Donald Trump For his efforts on behalf of Israel and the fight against anti-Semitism, Vaad endorsed Ciatarelli for governor, citing his alignment with community concerns over schooling, infrastructure and taxes.

Vada said, “Remember, your vote is your voice. Make it count for the continued strength and impact of our community.”
Ciatarelli aims to flip New Jersey from blue to red as he faces Democratic candidate Mickey Sherrill.
