MSNBC host Janet Psaki urged members of the Democratic Party to “burn” the Democratic National Committee’s (DNC) talking points and speak “like a man with a heart.”

“People have to become a little more relaxed, let go of talking points, which — it’s funny, part of my transition from being a former communications person to being on television is that we’ll have executives and I’ll finish an interview and I’ll say, ‘We can’t have that person again. They like to recite a list of talking points verbatim.’ It’s about not going with how you talk about things, the words you use to talk about things, and being a little bit more open and not being conservative. Speak like a man. That’s it,” Saki told the co-host “I’ve Had It” Podcast on tuesday.

Saki referred to the former president Barack ObamaThose she worked for, and former presidents, urged politicians to say what they think and not always rely on polls or talking points.

“Don’t start with what the polls say. Don’t start with what the DNC or whatever talking points they give you. First of all, no offense to the DNC — burn the talking points to the ground, you know? Start with what your personal point of view is. You’re a leader. You’re educated. You’re informed. And it’s very simple. And it’s very simple, but it’s very simple,” Psaki said.

“I think the little Manchurian candidate, J.D. Vance, wants to be president more than anything else,” Saki said. “I always wonder what’s going through his wife’s mind. Like, are you okay? Please blink four times. We’ll be here. We’ll save you.”

“And he’s willing to do anything to get there. And your whole recap you just said, I mean, he’s terrifying in some ways. And he’s young and ambitious and agile in the sense that he’s a chameleon who makes himself what he thinks the audience wants to hear from him.”
