Ryan Garcia Pad Speed Tip in Big Fighting Conversations
Ryan Garcia posted a coaching video today of working on his speed injections in his living room pad exercise. This is this week’s second living room practice posted on social media, which suggests that he has a struggle in the planning stages.

Supporters want to see Garcia (24-2, 20 ko) back to combat WTP weight champion Mario Barrios, WBA Rolly Romero champion, or Devin Haney.
Ryan champion, Oscar de la Hoya of Golden Boy Promotions, says he has “conversations”. He says he wants Garcia to fight “one of the best champions.” That would be Rolly, Barrios, or winner of Devin Haney’s fight against Brian Norman Jr.
De la hoya gives a suggestion
“At the moment, I don’t know if Ryan is still going through rehabilitation for his hand or shoulder,” the Oscar de la Hoya promoter told the Ah show For Ryan Garcia. “There are fighting conversations. I would want him to fight all the best, again.

The battle that makes the most sense to Ryan is recapturing Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero for his WBA welter weight title. Garcia needs to take revenge for his unanimous 12 -round decision loss he suffered against Rolly earlier this year on May 2 at Times Square in New York.
Ryan frozen after being dropped by Romero in Round Two and never did much for the rest of the match. He looked like he was afraid to be caught again by Rolly, so he fought defensive against a very curvy fighter.
No tune-ups left
Rolly telegraphed every punch he threw by making a loud screaming noise. It was evident whenever he would punch, and strangely Ryan did not take advantage of this deficit as Isaac Cruz had in 2024.
“I would love to see him up there against one of the leading champions, there’s no tune-ups here anymore, no at this level,” said De La Hoya.
