Sen. Bernie SandersI-VT., said Monday during “The View” that the Democratic Party needs to make a “fundamental decision” about what they stand for.

Co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin pressed Sanders on the party’s historically low approval ratings and how he “Fighting Oligarchy” tour can help.

“I think the Democratic Party has had to make a very fundamental decision, OK? I think Trump won working-class people not because he wanted tax breaks for billionaires. Not because he wanted to take away 15 million people from having health care or double health insurance premiums. That’s why working-class people didn’t vote for Trump. I think what they voted for Trump and what they voted for Trump say? you up?” Sanders said.

Bernie said Democrats stood up for the working class.

Bernie asked Harris to focus on the working class, not just abortion

“We need Democratic Party Billionaire friends want to say thank you again, and to their corporate sponsors, thank you. We will stand with the working class of this country,” he said.

Sanders has claimed that the majority of people in the country are living paycheck to paycheck.

“People can’t afford healthcare. They can’t afford childcare. Not including housing costs. You can’t afford quality food for your kids, am I right?” he said “And the Democrats want to say you know what, we’re going to stand with the working class. For example, healthcare is a human right, not a privilege!”

Bernie Sanders called out Kamala Harris’ campaign for having ‘tremendous influence from rich people’

Sanders also spoke about “No Kings” protests across the country over the weekend, which he described as “extraordinary.”

“It was happening not just in big cities, but in small towns across America. I think it was something like 26,000 different rallies. And more people came out to say no to Trumpism than any single day in American history, and we should all be proud,” he said.
