“The View” co-host Sunny Hostin hopes Republican voters can’t feed their loved ones on Thanksgiving and bring GOP lawmakers back to the negotiating table to end the government shutdown.

The The shutdown started 27 days ago When Republicans and Democrats were unable to agree on a continuing resolution (CR) to fund the government. Disagreements arise from certain health care provisions. Democrats warn that Americans’ health insurance premiums will rise if their provision is not included in the CR, while the GOP says the provision would provide health care to illegal immigrants.

The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) has said it does not have the ability to independently overhaul funding for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), commonly known as food stamps, according to a memo recently obtained by Fox News Digital. 42 million Americans if this continues May lose access to food stamps If the shutdown continues.

Hostin blamed Republicans for the shutdown on Monday.
