A Texas woman Accused of killing a man on a first date while driving drunk, blaming her designer shoes for the accident.

“I thought he was out of the way,” Iturino said, according to The Post. “Because I couldn’t find him.”

Iturino added that she felt something touch her hip as the car sped off, then realized that McMullin was being thrown 30 feet into the air as Chambers’ Porsche struck a pole. She then called 911 and proceeded to perform CPR on McMullin until paramedics arrived.

McMullin was declared dead at the scene.

Alfredo Ponce, general manager of a nearby pool hall, testified that he heard the crash and ran outside to help, and according to the Houston Chronicle, it was one of the worst accidents he had ever seen.

During his testimony, Ponce told the jury he remembered smelling alcohol in Chambers’ vehicle as he tried to help the injured driver and two passengers, the Houston Chronicle reported.

Chambers has Pleaded not guilty to charges of manslaughter.

The lawsuit partially accuses Chambers’ ex-husband – hedge fund manager Xuan Si – of buying a high-end sports car in the months leading up to the fatal crash. She was released on bail after C later filed for divorce from Chambers, The Post reported.

While Chambers’ criminal case is currently ongoing, her civil case is scheduled to be heard by a judge in April 2026.
