The Blue Jays made their presence felt in a big way in Game 1 of the World Series.
On the back of a nine-inning sixth inning, which included the first grand slam in Fall Classic history, Toronto cruised to an 11-4 win over the Dodgers on Friday night at Rogers Centre.
With the game tied at 2-2 in the bottom of the sixth, the Blue Jays sent 12 batters to the plate, as Addison Barger hit a grand slam and Alejandro Kirk delivered a two-run blast.
Blue Jays starter Trey Yesavage allowed two runs over four innings while five relievers combined to produce just two runs — both of which came on Shohei Ohtani’s homer — over the final five frames.
Game 2 is scheduled for Saturday night at 8 PM ET.
