finally, Zahran Mamdani He had to face the tough questions.

And in the final mayoral debate this week, the gloves were finally off.

Why does Mamdani think he can run this city when he couldn’t even show up for work when he was in the legislature?

Why did he think he could be a representative for the poor when he gave himself the biggest pay raise any actor had ever received?

How can he present himself as “progressive” when he spends his time reaching out to politicians in his native Uganda who persecute and imprison people for being gay?

Those were just a few of the questions finally asked this week, and not just from Mamdani’s main opponent in the race, Andrew Cuomo But also from moderators.

By all accounts, the final days were supposed to be a car crash for candidate Mamdani.

How could someone seek to run this city when they are related to someone involved in… 1993 World Trade Center bombing?

I know that Mamdani and his family were not living in this country when the World Trade Center was first attacked.

I know he was not a citizen of this country until years after the attack on the World Trade Center on September 11.

However, even if he had no memory of the terrorist attacks, the city still remembered them.

In any normal season, Mamdani’s associations, regardless of his politics, would have done with him.

But as everyone knows, this is a very abnormal season.

Mamdani hopes to achieve his position simply by displaying his sweaty smile and presenting himself as a reasonable person.

Meanwhile, anyone with the slightest knowledge of the fake could spot it from a distance.

The moderator wondered: How will Mamdani pay for the free bus rides in New York?

Mamdani smiled happily, as if he hoped to answer just that question.

He claimed that riding free buses would reduce attacks on bus drivers.

It has not been explained exactly why the number of attacks on bus drivers would decrease if everyone could ride for free.

The supervisor continued talking.

Where will Mamdani find the $700 million his scheme will cost?

Mamdani eventually admitted it.

New Yorkers could get free bus rides because they would pay higher taxes.

Brilliant.

What a scheme.

When Mamdani himself went on the attack, he tried to present Governor Cuomo as “a puppet of Donald Trump.”

naturally The president has not endorsed anyone in the race.

But Mamdani hoped that the mere mention of the “T” word would prompt voters to throw themselves into his arms.

That was strange because Mamdani’s main trick on Wednesday night was a move he stole from President Trump.

Mamdani’s big “reveal” is that he brought to the audience one of the women who made the film Allegations against Governor Cuomo in 2021.

Mamdani did not bother to note that the claims in question have been largely dismissed in the courts.

He also didn’t notice that this stunt was just a copy of Donald Trump’s famous ambush Hillary Clinton In the 2016 presidential debates, when Trump appeared with women who had made allegations against Bill Clinton.

But perhaps we shouldn’t expect Mamdani to have any original ideas for his provocative debates.

After all, he didn’t have any other original ideas in his head.

Anyone who has watched a socialist try to slide into political office in any country will know the trick Mamdani is trying to pull.

During the race, socialists like him present themselves as only interested in fairness and justice.

They promise all the free things people will get, which they say they have a right to.

And so they came into office, full of promises they knew they couldn’t keep.

When do they enter?

Well, you’ll get a real glimpse into their personality – or lack thereof.

Only after victory do socialists reveal their true nature.

Then they reveal that they are not interested in justice.

They are interested in revenge.

They are not interested in giving away free things.

They are interested in taking things – especially cash – from the public.

They present themselves as champions of the poor, but their only accomplishment in office is to make everyone poorer.

Will New Yorkers really fall for this?

It seems amazing to think that this city could vote for such a candidate.

A man who is not only unqualified but completely unsuited for the job of mayor of this city.

Many people I talk to know that Mamdani would be a disaster for this city.

But the next moment, many of them told me they had no intention of voting because somehow their votes wouldn’t count.

Well, that depends on you.

This depends on all New Yorkers.

If people use their voices, the city can still be saved.

If people think they can let go, they will only have themselves to blame for what is to come.

No kings. . . And there is no clue

Have you ever seen a show sadder than “No to Kings” protests. Last weekend?

I was able to wander into one and wondered what the participants were smoking.

There’s a lot of criticism people can offer.

But why do people have to invent things?

Why should they pretend that going after criminals who illegally entered the United States and committed crimes here actually constitutes an attack on all racial minorities?

Why do they have to pretend that the president’s efforts to clean up the crime-infested streets of so many American cities are fascist?

Why do they have to pretend that adherence to law and order expresses a desire to become king?

As I watched the protesters last weekend, I couldn’t help but think back to how parts of the left in this country seem intent on inventing an actual bogeyman.

It’s like women dressing up as characters from “The Handmaid’s Tale” and pretending the US government wants to control their wombs.

Why don’t we face some real problems instead of protesting invented ones?
