“This is my time to terminate Vergil Ortiz Jr.

Erickson Lubin says he feels this time, and is ready to defeat WCP’s temporary mid -weight champion Vergil Ortiz Jr. In 18 days on November 8th. Lubin (27-2, 19 ko) called Ortiz Jr. (23-0, 21 ko). He has not shown any fear of it.

Third time, last chance

Ortiz Jr.-Lubin will meet at the main 12-round event at an event promoted by Golden Boy on Dazn at the Dickies Arena, Fort Worth, Texas. This will be Lubin’s third try to win a world title after failing to lose Stop to Sebastian Fundora and Jermell Charlo.

“I think he’s a great fighter, but I feel now my time. I feel like I have faced the toughest men in the department, and I’m ready to prove myself, ”Erickson Lubin told Golden boy boxingSpeaking of his fight against Vergil Ortiz Jr. on November 8th. ”This is my third unlicensed fighter in a row, and one of the top 10 candidates.”

The two unbeaten fighter that Erickson has recently beaten Ardreal Holmes Jr. And Jesus Ramos jr they are good, but not at Ortiz Jr. or any of the best men, such as Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis and Sebastian Fundora. When Lubin was tested against Fundora, he was suspended in the ninth round on April 9, 2022. Erickson has done a good job coming back from that loss, but has not fought any A -level resistance or elite level.

Ortiz jr is not

“It’s been very difficult to fight. I haven’t fought since February (Israil Madrimov), and we’ve been trying,” said Vergil Jr. I’m very glad we had one, especially someone calling me. I don’t see it as a lack of respect. I see him like, ‘I think you’re a good fighter. Let’s get it on. ‘”

It is understandable why the major competitors and their champions have shown no interest in fighting Vergil Jr. He had already shown how difficult it is since moving to 154 in January 2024, beating these four fighter:

  • Israel Madrimov – US 12
  • Serhii Bohachuk – MD 12
  • Thomas Dulorme – Ko 1
  • Fredrick Lawson – Tko 1

Ortiz Jr. should have given a recapture to Serhii Bohachuk if he craved for battle. He would probably have immediately agreed if he were offered a second chance to face Vergil Jr again.

The battle was Vergil Jr. and his team wanted against Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis, but never happened. Fortunately for Ortiz, only nine months have had to wait since his last match against Israil Madrimov on February 22 he had battled Lubin on November 8th. That’s much better than sitting out of the ring for 13 months.
