Trump reacts to reports of B-1 bombers flying towards Venezuela during the drug war

Two B-1 bombers took off from Dyess Air Base to Fox News in Texas On Thursday morning, it flew toward Venezuela as seen on open-source flight trackers, according to senior U.S. official sources.
During a White House roundtable on immigration and crime crackdowns Thursday, Pres Donald Trump refuted the report first published by The Wall Street Journal.
“No, that’s not accurate. That’s a lie,” Trump said. “But we’re not happy with Venezuela for a lot of reasons, drugs being one of them, but they’re sending their prisoners to our country. … Nobody can do that.”

Meanwhile Roundtable with Law Enforcement And with administration officials discussing the success of the Homeland Security Task Force, Trump praised ongoing efforts to crack down on illegal drug trafficking in the U.S., and he believes cartels will begin to infiltrate the U.S. by land.
“Now they’re coming off the ground,” Trump said. “The land is also involved, because I told them … the land is going to come forward. We may go to the Senate, we may Go to CongressAnd tell them about it. But I can’t imagine they would have a problem with it.”

“Between that and my discussions with (Chinese) President Xi, I don’t think we’ve ever made any progress,” Trump added. It’s going to be more dangerous. You will see it soon. So that’s the way it is.”
Hours earlier, Hegseth confirmed that U.S. forces carried out a deadly attack on a suspected drug-trafficking vessel on Wednesday, killing three suspects.

This was the ninth attack Ship strike from September, and the second strike was reported in the eastern Pacific.
A total of 37 people are reported to have been killed, with the two survivors later repatriated.

When asked by reporters why he is not asking Congress to approve a declaration of war against the cartels, the president said he does not see the need.
“I don’t think we’re going to ask for a declaration of war,” Trump said. “I think we’re just going to kill people who are bringing drugs into our country. … They’re going to be dead.”
