Victoria Beckham has been put in the hot seat over David’s alleged affair with Rebecca Loos

Victoria Beckham and David Beckham make it last forever.

While on Call Her Daddy Podcast On Wednesday, the fashion designer, 51, was put in hot water over her marriage to the retired footballer, 50.

“You’ve dealt with speculation your entire career about your marriage,” host Alex Cooper said. “I know David touched on this in the documentary. Can you explain how you and David dealt with this?”

The athlete’s former assistant Rebecca Loos claimed in 2004 that she had an affair with him for four months after his transfer from Manchester United to Real Madrid. Although Cooper and Victoria have not directly addressed the scandal, Beckham did address the allegations in his 2023 Netflix doc.

“You know… we’ve had a lot thrown at us and we’ve been talking about it because we recently celebrated our 26th wedding anniversary, and by the way, people said it wouldn’t work out,” Victoria told Cooper. “26 years old.”

“We had a lot thrown at us and we were always there together and rode out the damn storm,” she added.

In Beckham’s doc, Victoria previously described the controversy as the “most difficult period” of her life.

“Because I felt like the world was against us. That’s what it is — we were against each other, if I’m being completely honest,” she explained. “You know, even Madrid, sometimes we felt like we were against everyone else but we were together, we were connected, we had each other. But when we were in Spain, I didn’t really feel like we had each other either. And that’s sad. I can’t even begin to tell you how hard it was and how it affected me. It was a nightmare. It was an absolute circus – and everyone loves it when the circus comes to town, isn’t it?” Also? Unless you’re in it.”

Luce is not mentioned by name in the document, and Beckham has strongly denied the allegations in the affair. In March 2025, Los She doubled down and told 60 Minutes Australia she “never lied”.

Elsewhere with Cooper, Victoria recounted that David had to sneak into her hotel room while she was on tour with the Spice Girls, leading to the Salford City co-owner conducting a walk of shame the next day.

“He fit in seamlessly with the other girls,” the fashion designer said. “I remember I was on tour to play a show in Manchester, and I snuck him into my room, and the next morning, David had to jump out the window and do the walk of shame.”

Victoria said David had to “skip training because of the blisters on his feet because he literally had to do the walk of shame in his clothes from the night before.”

“But he got along with the other girls, and they liked him right away. He’s very comfortable with himself,” she gushed.

The Spice Girls first formed in 1994 and included Mel B, Geri Halliwell, Melanie C, and Emma Bunton.

Halliwell, 53, left the girl group in 1998. The singer’s exit led to her hiatus with the group in late 2000. The group split for good in 2001.

“We were all close to each other to be honest with you,” Victoria mused, “I mean every girl is so different. I mean, you have to remember we were five misfits and we were all told ‘no’.” “Everyone was told we weren’t good enough. We’re all from very different backgrounds, but we worked together. We were also told individually that we weren’t great, but together we were something.”

Meanwhile, Victoria was just 22 years old when she first met David.

“The first thing that really attracted me to it was that after the game we went to the players’ lounge, which is literally where all the players used to meet their friends and family and have a drink,” she said. “And all the other players were having beers with their mates in the bar. And David was standing there with his younger sister and his parents. And he’s obviously really handsome. But you know, I’m very close to my family and that was a real attraction as well.”

Victoria and David married in 1999 and have sons Brooklyn, 26, Romeo, 23, and Cruz, 20, and daughter Harper, 14.

The mother of four explained to Cooper how her matching purple wedding outfits turned out for David and baby Brooklyn.

“I don’t know. We’ve been wearing these clothes lately, I have to say,” Victoria admitted. “And mine wasn’t too bad. It wasn’t too bad. David looks like the dancing guy emoji. That’s exactly what the dancing guy emoji is wearing, but he owns it.”

“We were in a hotel up north and we were quite traditional, so it was quite traditional,” she noted of his suggestion. “He asked my father before he asked me.”

“He’s always been supportive of me,” Victoria added. “You know, when I was on tour, he was there and he was standing next to the stage and watching, and yeah, he was never, he was never insecure about anything like that.”
