Danila Yurov scored the equalizer midway through the third period, as the Minnesota Wild beat the New York Rangers 2-1 on Monday night.

Jonas Brodin and Kirill Kaprizov also scored for Minnesota, which had a 32-23 advantage in shots. Filip Gustafsson made 22 saves as the Wild snapped a three-game losing streak (0-2-1).

Artemi Panarin scored a goal for the Rangers, who fell to 0-4-0 at home this season. Igor Shesterkin finished with 29 saves.

In the third period, after Shesterkin blocked Marcus Johansson’s sweeping attempt, Yurov tapped in the loose puck at 8:16 for the rookie’s first NHL goal to put the Wild up 2-1.

Kaprizov added an empty-net goal for the fifth time this season with 1:39 minutes left in the game to seal the victory.

The Wild outscored the Rangers 17-6 in the first half, with each team scoring one goal.

Panarin, who had a goal and three assists Saturday in Montreal, got the Rangers going in the first minute of the game. Mika Zibanejad got the puck in the left corner, sent it forward and Panarin put it past Gustafsson at 57 seconds.

This is New York’s first goal at home after exiting the tournament in the first three matches at Madison Square Garden with a score of 3-0 against Pittsburgh on October 7, 1-0 against Washington on October 12, and 2-0 against Edmonton on October 14.

Brodin tied the game at 5:10, beating Shesterkin with a shot from the left circle.

Each team made 11 shots in the second half, which ended in a goalless draw.

The Wild visit the New Jersey Devils on Wednesday night. The Rangers host the San Jose Sharks on Thursday night.
